They Deserved It - Book Cover

They Deserved It – On the consequences of the foolishness and arrogance of old men
by Aaron Aalborg

What is in the mysterious Egyptian casket that links murderers over a thousand years? Our thriller begins as a historical novel set in 17th Century Italy, a time of superstition, plagues and cynical exploitation of young women. This ripping yarn of illicit love, hundreds of poisonings, the Inquisition, torture and witch burnings is built around true events. Characters include beautiful young girls oppressed by dynastic marriages to aged husbands; a handsome and tormented young priest; Machiavellian cardinals; and a scheming, atheist pope. In the second part of our story, the descendants of some of the original characters are driven to fulfill their ancestral destiny in modern day New York. The results include grisly killings, global pursuit, international espionage and a thrilling climax of mass murder, authorized by the President of the United States. It is up to you to decide which of the victims deserved their fate.

Revolution - Book Cover

This is where conspiracy begins...

Revolution is a thriller of modern times. It is an essential read for anyone who really wants to change the way the world is run. It describes a violent revolution in the United Kingdom that blossoms to upset the entire world order. Three radical students meet at university in the late 1960's determined to destroy the elites of society - the British Royal family, world leaders, billionaires and bankers. The students embed themselves in the corridors of power. After many years of planning, they strike, dramatically, violently and decisively.

Two counter-revolutionaries plot to strike back. They suffer internment and re-education, before the opportunity arises. The revolutionaries implement their plan to end inequality forever and to create a fairer distribution of wealth.

There is an unexpected and shocking ending.

Cooking The Rich - Book Cover

This is a spoof book of jokey recipes. It skewers politicians and the undeserving rich with humour and insight. Alternatively, it is a very nasty political attack on the fabric of society, with malicious intent.

The 30 hilarious recipes include ones for Donald Trump, Rupert Murdoch and the UK royals, plus Kardashian Sausage Cassoulet, Billionaire Bourguignon, Bankers Hearts, Koch au Vin, and Ayatollah Pepperoni and Couscous.

Each is accompanied by a suitably irreverent suggestion for grace before meals.

Let the Reader decide and hopefully have a few laughs.

Save The Bonsai - Book Cover

Save the Bonsai is an unusual novel. It is part science fiction, part fantasy, and part fast moving cataclysmic thriller. It breaks the rules of all these genres.

One of its main characters is transgender. The media is obsessed with this, but the reason is that the person is central to the plot.
It is a dramatic example of the consequences of spoof fake news. The action takes place globally but is primarily focused in the USA and Japan.

The author has a sardonic sense of humor. Save the Bonsai reflects so much that is wrong with the world today, from greed, to environmental destruction, from human gullibility to leaders seeking sociopathic domination.

The ending is controversial. The reader has to decide whether the new world order it describes is benign or the ultimate horror.

Doom, Gloom, and Despair - Book Cover

Doom, Gloom and Despair is a collection of stories combining black humor, misery and horror.

If you can laugh at humankind's self importance and stupidity, this book is for you. If you are willing to consider wild and terrifying alternative futures, you will find it darkly entertaining.

Black humor, pathos and laughter are combined in wildly imaginative ways. Enjoy!
